Meet The Team

Ava Segal, PhD

Ava is the CEO and Founder of Steadi Systems and the lead inventor of Steadiplay, an interactive system designed to improved balance health. After a 20-year career researching balance and mobility in military Veterans and older adults, Ava stepped out of the lab to tackle the widespread challenge of falls through science-driven products. She brings deep expertise in biomechanics, wearable sensing, rehabilitation robotics, data analytics, and human performance. Outside of work, Ava lives by a “work hard, play harder” mindset and can often be found skiing, mountain biking, or hiking in the mountains with her family.
